Backstabbing feels pretty awkward to most people, usually they end up accidentally punching wanderers instead of backstabbing them. I see this happen a lot in multiplayer. I'm not 100% sure about this, but there is a container with the recipe inside Ruins 1 that is only reachable after you finish the story (this area also has 2-3 collectible boxes with music tracks and a nameplate).
