I have a chance to buy an '08 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi and 144k miles on it. I know the current owner well, and he says it's always been solid. My gearhead friend says everyone he knows with that gen 1500 has had electrical issues that were fixable but pricey. Having seen this, the only thing I would consider doing is opening the box from the bottom and gutting the inside. Then I would retro fit an eBay tube into there. Stock look with a smoother flow.
