I am designing a deck to be installed over the top of a 16' x 15' "flat" roof. The roof has a 1:48 slope. Tapered floor joists are to be installed directly over the roof joists which are 16" OC; the joists and weight of the deck will set on top of the roofing mate I have a metal roof that has faded and snow doesn't slide off like it used to. The house was built in 1998. I have been told that I need to "repaint" it. Want your advise as to what it need to do.
